'Cupid and the Lion' Classical wall. The image of a cupid riding a lion was a common theme in classical and Renaissance art, representing 'Virgilian maxim Amor vincit omnia' meaning 'Love conquers all'. Lions were viewed as symbols of pride and wrath, the emotions to be tamed by love.
Each of our wall plaques are hand cast at our Sussex workshop in frost proof reconstituted stone with a choice of colour finish.
